Curry Leaf Plant

Botanical Name:
Murraya koenigii

Common Name:
Curry Leaf Plant

Plant Description:

The Curry Leaf Plant is a plant that is found in most Indian households. It is a necessity for most Indian dishes, especially curries and gravies. This is because the Curry Leaf Plant foliage adds to the taste of such dishes. In order to make the plant to withstand strong climatic conditions, it is important that you should trim the plant at regular intervals. A soil that is well-drained is important so as to ensure that water reaches through the roots and does not stagnant. If you find that the plant is dying, then immediately change the soil and under no circumstances over water it. Instead, water it proportionally at regular intervals. The best time to water this plant is early mornings (that is, anytime from 7.00 am to 10.00 am) and evenings (that is, anytime from 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm). However, if the plant is dying then the two time watering logic doesn't apply and hence water it after every four hours so as to ensure that the soil is moist.
